Who We Are

Specialised Dementia Care

Hazelwell Lodge is an award winning Residential Care Home for the elderly situated in the parish town of Ilminster in South West Somerset. We are a family run business since 1987, for people with old age and dementia, with an aim to change people's perception of care homes and how people view their autumn years.

We specialise in care for those who live with dementia. The home is designed to enable such residents to resume an appropriate and desirable way of living that deals with their individual needs on a personal level.

Meeting your needs

We create a tailor-made care plan which is regularly updated to ensure individual needs are constantly met. This includes finding out about a resident’s lifestyle and medical history, preferred activities and interests, hobbies and dietary and food preferences.

We provide safe environments that are adapted to the unique needs of the resident so that they can enjoy as much independence and mental and physical stimulation as possible. With the support and interaction of local authorities, NHS and Healthcare professionals it is clear to see that perceptions are changing and Hazelwell Lodge holds an important and respected position in the local community.
